THIS MURDEROUS ASSHOLE JUST MIGHT HAVE A CASE

There is no doubt in my mind that Alex Murdaugh is a murderous asshole.  He just might, however, manage a retrial.  His beef is that the court clerk apparently-allegedly engaged in some pretty egregious fiddling with the system, including maybe jury tampering, at least in part to feather her own nest.  She wrote a book about it, including parts where she (apparently admittedly) communicated inappropriately with jurors and got one maybe pro-defense juror kick out with an outright false story about a Facebook post.  She also (allegedly) had repeated private conversations with the jury foreperson.

This clerk Rebecca Hill, formally the Colleton County Clerk of Court, may be in for some hot water thrown her way.  Which does not necessarily mean that Murdaugh will get a new trial, or that if he does he will be found not guilty.

It will be interesting to see what, if anything, comes of this.  Judging by quotes from Ms. Hill's book, the defense position is not total bullshit.
