WILL JOE LET HUNTER GO DOWN, SAVE HIM AND LEAVE, OR SAVE HIM AND TRY TO HANG IN THERE?

A lot of things are getting ready to come together sort-of soon that may be very amusing for us real people.

The Republicans are getting semi-serious about the Biden Crime Family.  The move to do a formal impeachment inquiry gives congress (meaning the Republicans) subpoena power.  They can get Biden bank records.  Maybe even tax records.  I am not sure about that one.

We are also getting into the time frame where if somebody else wants to run as a Democrat-Socialist, or even an independent (Yang ?) they have to file within in the next few months to get on the ballots.

Also, by the end of this month we should know whether Weiss is going to deliberately tank the Hunter investigation or at least pretend to run with it.  

It SEEMS that Joe still thinks his son is a fine human being and intends to support him. How much of that is because he still loves his son and how much of it is he doesn't TRUST his son is hard to say.  Would Hunter throw his dad under the bus to save his own ass?  Would Joe let Hunter go down the crapper to MAYBE hang on for another four years?  

A lot of it will depend on how much actual info the impeachment inquiry digs up.  My guess is that there is a lot out there.  I expect that Joe depended mostly on his position and influence for protection and that a truly honest, competent forensic financial investigation will find the dirt.  

Joe could of course pardon his son, or commute any federal sentence, and simply assert that he was protecting his son from those evil rotten bastard Republicans who are just out to get him.  A lot of people would pretend to believe this and excuse the action on that basis.  We are so polarized and tribal right now that pretty much anything your side does is accepted by the peanut gallery as fair, reasonable and appropriate even if it clearly is not by any sort of reasonable objective standard.

The current Democrat-Socialist power structure is DESPERATE to hold on to power.  They will continue to back Joe as long as they believe they can prop him up and maintain that power.  Once they believe Joe is about as helpful as a rotting deer carcass they will start applying major pressure to him to walk away so he can spend more time with his grandchildren.  Their problem right now is that he is their only serious choice right now.  Kamala is an idiot.  Everybody knows it.  Even they know it.  Mayor Pete is a joke and Black males are NOT going to vote for a gay White guy.  Newsom has the massive problems of the state of California hanging around his neck like a dead albatross.  Now fi they could get Michele to go for it, THAT would be something.  That would be a serious threat.  They could maybe promise Kamala a federal judgeship to induce her to walk away.

By the end of this month we will start getting an idea what is going on.  By the end of this year we will get a real good idea of which way the wind is blowing.  

I realize this is mostly idle speculation, but it is fun nevertheless.  Politics can be fun to watch.  Scary, but fun.
