On October 22 a home invasion robbery occurred at an
apartment in Houston. It left a mother of two, Hope R. Saenz, dead.
The story (as presented in the press) has at least a couple of holes in
it.
It is presented like
this. Sanez's husband answers a knock at the door. He sees at least
two men there. One is holding a gun. They "try" to force their way
in. He yells at his wife to call the cops, grabs his gat and starts
shooting. At least according to his statement to the cops that's what
happened.
Witnesses
tell the cops they saw the two men go in and out of the apartment
"several times" Hubby then says he pursued the bad guys and they began
shooting at him. He also told the cops he recognized them, which I
grant you is not the same thing as he knew them.
The couple's two children were either in or in the vicinity of the apartment when the shooting started. They were not injured.
I
grant you this could just be a really badly written news story.
(Kansas City Star.) Or it could be there as a LOT more to it than is
being presented. Like maybe a possible drug ripoff.
