THIS IS A GREAT LAUGHER ..... I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING

San Antonio car theft stalls after alleged car thief fails at driving stick

All the alleged car thief took home was a bullet wound, but his mom called EMS.

According to preliminary police reports from the San Antonio Police Department, a man got into a vehicle in an attempted carjacking but ditched it just a few feet from where he started because he couldn’t navigate the manual transmission. Luckily for him, he didn’t show up alone, so he hopped in a getaway vehicle operated by an alleged accomplice when the carjacking victim's owner began firing bullets into the duo's car.

The would-be car thiefs left in such a hurry he left not only the stick shift behind at the scene, but also his own vehicle.

The victim continued to fire rounds, according to SAPD, piercing the back of a headrest in the getaway vehicle and grazing the head of one of the attempted car thieves. The two made it home, but the mother of the man who was hit by a bullet called for emergency services, leading to his transport to University Hospital in stable condition.

SAPD investigators have since detained him at the hospital.

EDITOR'S NOTE: This reminds me of the time California state parole agents were called into Los Angeles to take a driving test. All the cars issued to the agents were automatic shifters, but the car  used for the tests was stick shift operated

There were five or six of us male agents in our group and three or four females. Big problem ... none of the females knew how to operate a stick shift.

And I didn't think it was such a bright idea to conduct the tests on the roof of a multistory parking garage.
