Gold hit $2,400 per ounce today. Silver is within a few
cents of $30 per ounce. Gas is over $83 per barrel. There appears to
be real fear that the minor war in the Middle East (minor if you are not
directly involved) may turn into a serious war between Israel and
Iran. The stock market is down significantly today as it was two days
ago.
I am not about to run screaming for the hills, but I may go ahead and fill up my backup gas cans today.

Obviously that should read OIL is over $83 a barrel. Yesterday I paid $5.65 for regular GAS in CA. There is a major oil refinery down in CA more or less permanently that is switching to bio-diesel and many of the refineries are switching to the CA summer gas mixture so the prices are expected to hit $6 per gallon by the end of this month.
