Right-wing social media users think that the investigation of John Brennan and James Comey is a way to distract attention away from the relationship between Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein.
Assuming various media outlets
have it right John Brennan, formerly the head of the CIA and James
Comey, formerly the head of the FBI, are now under active criminal
investigation by the FBI. Theoretically Brennan was referred by the
current head of the CIA. There are allegedly two angles of
investigation. One relates to the bullshit of The Russia Hoax. The
other is for perjury before congress.
They
are, IMHO, both clearly guilty as shit. I am not sure it is a good
idea to actually prosecute them, but I am also not sure it is a good
idea to let the mechanism of the nation's intelligence networks be used
for blatant political purposes in the U.S. without risk of exposure and
punishment.
I suspect the
possibility of either of them going to prison is small, even if they
were to be found guilty. Never the less it would be amusing to watch.
