MEDIA SALIVATING OVER LATEST POLICE SHOOYING OF UNARMED BLACK MAN

An Arlington, Texas white rookie police officer shoots an unarmed berserk black college football player

Here we go again - and right around the first anniversary of the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson at that - the worldwide media is salivating over the latest shooting of an unarmed black man by a white police officer. This shooting occurred about 1:30 Friday morning in Arlington, Texas.

Christian Taylor, 19, an Angelo State University Football player, is seen by surveillance cameras in the parking lot of a car dealership, jumping up and down on a parked a car and kicking in its windshield. He gets in the car and shortly thereafter gets out of it, before walking off of the dealership lot. Then he is seen driving his Jeep through a metal gate back onto the lot and on through the front glass doors into the dealership showroom. All this time Taylor was wearing sunglasses.

A security company, which had been monitoring the car dealership observed Taylor’s berserk antics, and called 9-1-1 to report a possible burglary in progress.

Arlington Officer Brad Miller, 49, who had graduated from the police academy in March, and his field training officer arrived at the scene. They went inside the showroom and ordered Taylor to get down on the floor. Taylor ran and then there was some sort of confrontation during which Miller fired four shots while the Field Training officer used his Taser. Taylor was hit at least twice by the shots fired.

The Arlington Police Department is investigating the shooting and has asked the FBI to join it in the investigation.

Police Chief Will Johnson said Saturday that "The facts available today do not answer all questions or alleviate all concerns. If this [shooting] was not justified or authorized under the law there will be consequences.”

The media has been having another field day because Miller is white and Taylor is black.

During a traffic stop in September 2013, police found Taylor with 11 hydrocodone tablets that were not prescribed to him. He was sentenced to six months of probation which he successfully completed.

Hmmm, let’s see now … he was wearing sunglasses in the middle of the night and went berserk. It will be interesting to see what drugs the toxicology tests show Taylor to have been hopped up on.
