16-YEAR-OLD BURGLAR SHOT DEAD BY 11-YEAR-OLD HOME DEFENDER

St. Louis County boy home alone with his 4-year-old sister, fires one shot, hits burglar in the head

On Thursday two teens were breaking into a St. Louis County home when one of them, a 16-year-old burglar, was killed with one shot to the head by one of the home’s two occupants. The shooter was an 11-year-old boy home alone with his 4-year-old sister.

The other burglar ran off at the sound of the gunshot, but he was apprehended by the cops and placed into custody.

The boy’s mother, who has been cooperating with the St. Louis County Police, may be in some serious trouble for leaving her two children alone and for letting her son have access to a firearm.

Even if the authorities will be forgiving to the mother, she can expect to be sued by the dead burglar’s family.

If this were in CA the mother would be prosecuted, the shooter would be submitted for psych review and the authorities would assist the dead burglar's family in a civil suit against the shooter's family.
