The heads of six different caucuses of the California Legislature have sent out letters to the 400+ lobbying firms and other firms that have their own lobbyists that pimp within the legislative process in the formerly great state. They are demanding demographic data of the employees of these lobbying firms, including race, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation.
The Asian Pacific Islander, Black, Jewish, Latino, Women and LGBT caucuses have sent these letters. They assert that they need this information to "help with the worthy cause" of making California's work force representative of its residents. Or maybe they are just trolling for dates and want to separate the wheat from the chaff.
I assume they intend, somewhere down the line, to establish "guidelines" (quotas) of non-white non-male employees if you want to successfully lobby the government, unless of course you want to fork over a shitload of cash, in which case they will take your money.
I wonder if you have a Gay Trans Samoan female if you get multiple checkoffs or only one? Maybe it will open up some employment opportunities for window dressing employees. You gotta work the angels if you want to get ahead. Unless you are a Gay Trans Samoan female.
