The news feeds from LA remind me a lot of the 60s. I
spent more than a little time on the north end of Telegraph in Bezerkley
during the late 1960s. I can't exactly say BEEN THERE-DONE THAT but I
can legitimately say BEEN THERE-SEEN THAT. (I was also at Kent State
six days before the SHTF there in 1971 and I am not sorry I missed that
party.)
I remember when
some of the bay area fire departments (mostly Oakland) would not respond
to fires without police protection. That was "interesting."
The
"protesters" (rioters) are unhappy with the feds. The feds are unhappy
with the rioters acting like assholes. Trump called out the National
Guard and federalized them because the PD is not interested in getting
in the middle of it.
Right now I am sorry I don't own some stock in Federal, the people who make a lot of flash-bang and tear gas type products.
The
last clip I saw showed the National Guard protecting a VA facility.
The "protesters" started throwing stuff at the guard. The guard started
throwing flash-bangs and firing tear gas and pepper balls. They
arrested a few people for being assholes.
America. What a great country.

Every so often LA has to cleanse itself with a riot. Maybe it's just me but have the homeless encampments have moved on? "Grab the tent and let's move out to the burbs."
