CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY FOR FIREWORKS EXPLOSION

By Bob Walsh

The CA State Fire Marshal announced on Sunday that they have begun a criminal investigation into the explosion of the non-permitted fireworks warehouse in Yolo County a few days ago.  They apparently expect a finding of criminal negligence but did state that the investigation will take at least months and potentially years.  The explosion resulted in the death of seven people at the scene, almost certainly all of them employees of the operation.

I strongly suspect that the peace officer and fire fighter who own the two fireworks businesses that operated that, one of who owned the building, are in for some sleepless nights over the next several months.
