No more “undocumented” immigrants, just “illegal aliens.”
CNN reported Tuesday evening that the Justice Department has told its attorneys that the term “undocumented” is inaccurate according to U.S. immigration law and that they should start using the legally correct term.
“Illegal alien” is the accurate term used in the U.S. Code, the email reportedly says.
The use of the term “illegal” in the nation’s immigration debate has come under increasing attack from immigrant-rights activists, who can frequently be seen holding signs saying “no person is illegal.”
The term “undocumented” has gained increasing currency in both their rhetoric and in the stylebooks of U.S. media outlets as a substitute.
Conservatives have generally dismissed the term as a politically correct euphemism designed to distort public debate.
The Justice Department reminded its lawyers Tuesday that there must be uniformity in their usage, implying that “undocumented” usage had been bleeding over.
The email sought “to clear up some confusion and to be consistent in the way we draft our releases,” CNN quoted it as saying.

This brawl took place recently at a Las Vegas McDonald's. Erika Chavolla, 24, a McDonald's employee, came out fighting after Sabrinah Fontelar, also 24, threw a milkshake at her and hit her in the face with a metal tray. It all started when, instead of getting a cup of water that she ordered, Fontelar started to fill her cup with a soda she did not pay for.
Fontelar says she has been charged with battery. Chavolla says she has been allowed to keep her job at McDonald's.

Late Wednesday eleven members of the House of Representatives filed articles of impeachment against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. Cause cited is obstruction of congress' legitimate oversight of the Dept. of Justice.
Impeachment actions generally have a priority of action, but since congress is about to go on a five week vacation it is not clear when (or if) the articles will actually be voted on.
Wouldn't it be nice if they actually managed to nail his ass to the barn door?

EATING LUNCH MAY BECOME HARDER (AND MORE COSTLY) IN S.F.

It seems that the local restaurant owners association is pissed that many of the tech firms in the greater San Francisco area have a cafeteria-commissary on site for their employees. These often provide very low cost or even free meals to the help as part of their compensation.
At the behest of the restaurant association the city and county of San Francisco is moving to make these on-site cafeterias illegal in order to FORCE employees to move into the local area during their lunch breaks and buy food locally (or else brown-bag it).
It is unclear how much traction the proposal will get as many of these firms provide a lot of healthy food, like salads and fruit and low-fat snacks, as opposed to pizza and greaseburgers.

COP FIRED FOR FILING CHARGES AGAINST MAYOR, CHIEF AND FORMER CHIEF

Charles Mick used to be a Sergeant with the New Holland, Ohio, police department. He is now unemployed. Last Friday he filed criminal charges against the city Mayor, the former Chief of Police and the current interim Chief. On Monday night he was sacked.
He served Mayor Butch Betzko with a court summons at a special meeting of the village council. When he left the meeting he served interim Police Chief David Conrad in the chief's office. Mick was fired on the spot.
The town has a population of about 800 people. The police department is made up entirely of part-time volunteers. Mick announced in front of a crowd on his way out that he had just been fired for "doing the right thing." He stated he intends to file for whistle-blower protection.
Mick filed a fifth-degree felony forgery charge against Conrad, who is also the P8ickaway County emergency management director. He also filed a charge of complicity to commit forgery against Betzko, formerly a long-time deputy with the Franklin County S.O. That is also a fifth-degree felony.
Conrado is suspected of forging the signature of former Police Chief William Lawless on a document dated July 16. This was required by law to change Lawless' status in the village from Chief to Reserve Officer. It is believed that Lawless was not even in the state at the time his alleged signature was placed on the document.
Lawless has since resigned and stated he is moving out of the state. Neither Conrad nor Betzko could be reached for comment.
There are also allegedly other forged documents floating around. In addition thee is an accusation that Lawless had a local woman make harassing phone calls to a local online news site that deals with local news and issues from his office phone. Other charges may be pending in this matter.

TWO SEATTLE COPS SACKED FOR SHOOTING AT MOVING CAR

Interim police chief Carmen Best announced that Officers Kenneth Martin and Tabitha Sexton have been fired for acting recklessly for firing "a barrage of shots" at a fleeing stolen car, wounding both the driver and a passenger.
Martin had been with the department for about three years, Sexton about eight years.
Officer Martin deliberately moved in front of the car in an attempt to block it.
The Office of Police Accountability (Internal Affairs) made no determine as to whether or not the officer's actions was illegal. It did determine that the cops action made the situation worse rather than de-escalating it. (I didn't know that was the job. Silly me.)
The two officers fired a total of 27 rounds at the car on October 8 of last year. Officer Martin had moved from the path of the car before he opened fire. The chief and OPA found the officer's actions to be unreasonable.

Addison Barnes, 18, was a senior at Liberty High School (ironic name) in Hillsboro, Oregon back in January. He showed up wearing a T-shirt that said DONALD J TRUMP BORDER WALL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY on it. He was suspended and sent home for this affront to decency.
He sued. Last May a judge issued a TRO against the school. On Tuesday Barnes and the school reached a settlement. The young man gets a written apology from the principle and $25,000.
The school asserted that the T-shirt would be "disruptive" but was unable to substantiate the assertion.

The People's Republic of San Francisco has just created a new civil service job with ten spots available. The job is to walk around the city with a bucket and a long-handled grabber to pick up the thousands and thousands of used syringes laying around the city.
Now they need to do something about the piles of human shit on sidewalks around the city. It is so bad there is actually an app for it so you can avoid the areas. Some people have avoided them so effectively that they have recently had at least two major conventions reschedule to other cities to avoid the filth, crime and institutionalized stupidity.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump is heard on tape discussing with his attorney Michael Cohen how they would buy the rights to a Playboy model's story about an alleged affair Trump had with her years earlier, according to the audio recording of the conversation aired exclusively on CNN's "Cuomo Prime Time."
The recording offers the public a glimpse at the confidential discussions between Trump and Cohen, and it confirms the man who now occupies the Oval Office had contemporaneous knowledge of a proposal to buy the rights to the story of Karen McDougal, a woman who has alleged she had an extramarital affair with Trump about a decade ago.
Cohen told Trump about his plans to set up a company and finance the purchase of the rights from American Media, which publishes the National Enquirer. The recording captures what appears to be a routine business conversation of several matters on their agenda. The audio is muddled and the meaning of Trump's use of the word "cash" is disputed by the two sides.
"I need to open up a company for the transfer of all of that info regarding our friend David," Cohen said in the recording, likely a reference to American Media head David Pecker.
When financing comes up again later in the conversation, Trump interrupts Cohen asking, "What financing?" according to the recording. When Cohen tells Trump, "We'll have to pay," Trump is heard saying "pay with cash" but the audio is muddled and it's unclear whether he suggests paying with cash or not paying. Cohen says, "no, no" but it is not clear what is said next.
No payment was ever made from Trump, Rudy Giuliani, the President's attorney, has said. Giuliani has previously acknowledged that the recorded discussion related to the buying the story rights.
"There's no indication of any crime being committed on this tape," Giuliani said on Fox News Channel Tuesday night.
Trump blasted Cohen over the disclosure Wednesday morning.
"What kind of a lawyer would tape a client? So sad! Is this a first, never heard of it before? Why was the tape so abruptly terminated (cut) while I was presumably saying positive things? I hear there are other clients and many reporters that are taped - can this be so? Too bad!" Trump tweeted.
The recording, which was provided to CNN by Cohen's attorney Lanny Davis, was made in September 2016. It's the latest breakdown in the decade-long relationship between Trump and Cohen, who once said he would take a bullet for the President. Cohen in recent weeks has made clear he is open to cooperating with US prosecutors.
"What is this about? This is about honesty versus false disparagement of Michael Cohen. Why is Giuliani out falsely disparaging Michael Cohen -- because they fear him," Davis said on "Cuomo Prime Time."
"What do they fear, Chris? Why am I representing him? They fear that he has the truth about Donald Trump. He will someday speak the truth about Donald Trump. The truth is that when Donald Trump said 'cash,' which Rudy Giuliani knows that only drug dealers and mobsters talk about cash, it was, you heard Michael Cohen ... say what? 'No, no, no, no.'"
Davis later added: "Ladies and gentlemen, if you voted for Donald Trump, listen to the tape and ask yourself: Is Donald Trump lying when he said he didn't use the word 'cash' and accuses Michael Cohen of using the word 'cash'? Cohen has been disparaged. Cohen has been insulted and called all sorts of things by people around Donald Trump."
Giuliani and Alan Futerfas, a lawyer for the Trump Organization, refuted that the tape shows Trump was offering a cash payment.
"There's no way the President is going to be setting up a corporation and then using cash, unless you're a complete idiot," Giuliani said on Fox News Tuesday night.
"This was leaked on us with a very, very scurrilous description of what was on the tape," he added.
Cash, in the conversation, was in reference to how a deal would be financed, Futerfas said.
"Whoever is telling Davis that cash in that conversation refers to green currency is lying to him," Futerfas told CNN. "There's no transaction done in green currency. It doesn't happen. The whole deal never happened. If it was going to happen, it would be a payment to a large company that would obviously be accompanied by an agreement of sale. Those documents would be prepared by lawyers on both sides."
"The word cash came up in the context of the distinction between financing, which is referenced, and no financing, which means a full payment, a total one-time payment. That's the context in which the word cash is used," he said. "Anyone who knows anything about the company or how the President does business knows there is no green cash. Everything is documented. Every penny is documented."
On the tape Cohen also says, "I've spoken with (Trump Organization chief financial officer) Allen Weisselberg about how to set the whole thing up with funding."
Futerfas declined to answer whether the payment would have been from the company or from Trump's personal finances. He said Weisselberg wore two hats working for Trump and his company. "I don't even know what Michael Cohen would have said to Allen Weisselberg because all Allen does is bookkeeping and process requests for transactions that are given to him," Futerfas said.
Court filings said federal prosecutors have obtained 12 audio recordings from the FBI raids on Cohen earlier this year. CNN previously reported that Trump's lawyers waived attorney-client privilege on the President's behalf regarding the recording involving him personally.
The audio recording of Trump and Cohen relates to whether Trump should buy the rights of the story from American Media, which paid McDougal $150,000 in August 2016 for her story about an alleged 10 month affair with Trump. The story was never published by AMI.
An attorney for AMI declined to comment Tuesday night.
A spokesman for the US attorney's office in Manhattan, which is investigating Cohen, declined to comment.

LAPD officials defend predictive policing as activists call for its end

Early each morning, computers spit out maps of Los Angeles, marked with red squares where a complex algorithm has judged that property crimes are most likely to occur.
As police officers patrol the streets, they keep these areas in mind, perhaps taking a detour to pass through on the way to a call, or warning people not to leave valuables in their cars.
But so-called predictive policing and other ways that the Los Angeles Police Department uses data to fight crime are sounding alarm bells for civil liberty and privacy groups, who engaged in a heated debate with department brass at a Police Commission meeting Tuesday.
The activists lambasted the methods, which identify crime hotspots as well as “chronic offenders” who are likely to commit crimes, as biased against blacks and Latinos, with some calling for them to be abolished.
The crime statistics that fuel the computer models could be skewed by racial bias, with the result that more policing is concentrated on blacks and Latinos, many said.
“Data is a weapon and will always be used to criminalize black, brown and poor people,” said Jamie Garcia of the Stop LAPD Spying Coalition, which released a report in May critiquing the department’s data policing techniques.
Members of the coalition held signs with messages such as “Crime Data is Racist” and “Data Driven Evidence Based Policing: Pseudoscience.”
From the “Compstat” crime analysis meetings started by former Police Chief William J. Bratton to the adoption of predictive policing for property crimes in 2015, the LAPD has been at the forefront of using data to refine its crime-fighting tactics. Station captains are still grilled by higher-ups at weekly Compstat meetings about how to reduce crime, and crime statistics for each station are updated online every few weeks.
For violent crime, the department draws “LASER” — “Los Angeles' Strategic Extraction and Restoration” zones — devised by a human crime analyst, not a computer — indicating where many crimes have occurred and therefore where more police officers should go.
Perhaps the most controversial LAPD program targets people rather than geography, using a matrix of factors, including gang membership and violent crime arrests, to identify “chronic offenders” who will receive extra police scrutiny.
In 2016, after a spike in violent crime in South Los Angeles, the department set up a numbers-crunching center to collect crime data from the previous 24 hours and review it with command staff each morning. The approach continues to be used and has expanded to other areas of the city.
“We’re trying to get better about where to put scarce police resources to prevent crime from happening in the first place,” Deputy Chief Sean Malinowski said at the meeting.
Police Commissioner Cynthia McClain-Hill said she was particularly concerned about programs like those targeting chronic offenders that are “people-based as opposed to place-based.”
She asked the department’s inspector general to review the costs and benefits of data-based policing.
“Any cost in terms of public trust is something we should take very seriously,” she said.
Police Chief Michel Moore, who was sworn in last month after serving as the LAPD’s second-in-command, said he supports an inspector general review. He acknowledged that the data used in the models are imperfect and that the department must convince residents that it is being put to good use.
Moore, who is considered by LAPD insiders to be second to none in his mastery of crime statistics, said the goal is not making more arrests but helping the people and neighborhoods targeted by predictive policing and other data-intensive methods.
“Identifying communities in need of intervention and prevention is what we’re trying to do,” Moore said.

At Rosecrans and Vermont avenues in the Harbor Gateway area, where aggravated assaults were high, officers found that school buses were dropping off students from different gangs at the same time. They solved the problem by staggering the arrival of the buses.
Focusing on “chronic offenders” has a benefit, too, allowing police to concentrate on those people while cutting back on random stops of innocent drivers, Kato said.
“We always knew who the bad guys were,” Kato said. “We’re making sure we don’t stop others in the community if we can figure out who those violent people are.”
But many speakers at the meeting said the programs were riddled with racial bias, and the only solution was to dismantle them.
“Predictive policing is nothing but a Stasi, Nazi Germany style for targeting people of color,” Yasmin Adan, an immigrant from Somalia in her 40s, said.
Alexis Takahashi, 26, a program manager for a nonprofit, was more measured in her criticism.
Methods developed by the LAPD “under the guise of science” end up magnifying racial bias, she said. She expressed concern that people identified by the data as criminals are more likely to be approached by the police, possibly leading to a violent encounter.
“I support an audit by the inspector general and a public dialogue to see whether we’re helping those communities or causing more harm,” Takahashi said.

Early each morning, computers spit out maps of Los Angeles, marked with red squares where a complex algorithm has judged that property crimes are most likely to occur.
As police officers patrol the streets, they keep these areas in mind, perhaps taking a detour to pass through on the way to a call, or warning people not to leave valuables in their cars.
But so-called predictive policing and other ways that the Los Angeles Police Department uses data to fight crime are sounding alarm bells for civil liberty and privacy groups, who engaged in a heated debate with department brass at a Police Commission meeting Tuesday.
The activists lambasted the methods, which identify crime hotspots as well as “chronic offenders” who are likely to commit crimes, as biased against blacks and Latinos, with some calling for them to be abolished.
The crime statistics that fuel the computer models could be skewed by racial bias, with the result that more policing is concentrated on blacks and Latinos, many said.
“Data is a weapon and will always be used to criminalize black, brown and poor people,” said Jamie Garcia of the Stop LAPD Spying Coalition, which released a report in May critiquing the department’s data policing techniques.
Members of the coalition held signs with messages such as “Crime Data is Racist” and “Data Driven Evidence Based Policing: Pseudoscience.”
From the “Compstat” crime analysis meetings started by former Police Chief William J. Bratton to the adoption of predictive policing for property crimes in 2015, the LAPD has been at the forefront of using data to refine its crime-fighting tactics. Station captains are still grilled by higher-ups at weekly Compstat meetings about how to reduce crime, and crime statistics for each station are updated online every few weeks.
For violent crime, the department draws “LASER” — “Los Angeles' Strategic Extraction and Restoration” zones — devised by a human crime analyst, not a computer — indicating where many crimes have occurred and therefore where more police officers should go.
Perhaps the most controversial LAPD program targets people rather than geography, using a matrix of factors, including gang membership and violent crime arrests, to identify “chronic offenders” who will receive extra police scrutiny.
In 2016, after a spike in violent crime in South Los Angeles, the department set up a numbers-crunching center to collect crime data from the previous 24 hours and review it with command staff each morning. The approach continues to be used and has expanded to other areas of the city.
“We’re trying to get better about where to put scarce police resources to prevent crime from happening in the first place,” Deputy Chief Sean Malinowski said at the meeting.
Police Commissioner Cynthia McClain-Hill said she was particularly concerned about programs like those targeting chronic offenders that are “people-based as opposed to place-based.”
She asked the department’s inspector general to review the costs and benefits of data-based policing.
“Any cost in terms of public trust is something we should take very seriously,” she said.
Police Chief Michel Moore, who was sworn in last month after serving as the LAPD’s second-in-command, said he supports an inspector general review. He acknowledged that the data used in the models are imperfect and that the department must convince residents that it is being put to good use.
Moore, who is considered by LAPD insiders to be second to none in his mastery of crime statistics, said the goal is not making more arrests but helping the people and neighborhoods targeted by predictive policing and other data-intensive methods.
“Identifying communities in need of intervention and prevention is what we’re trying to do,” Moore said.

PHOENIX - One of the most wanted fugitives in the United States is now behind bars in Maricopa County after being extradited from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Paul Eischeid, a Hells Angels gang member, was arrested in Argentina in 2011 after being on the run from authorities for years.
According to authorities, 46-year-old Eischeid was arrested in the U.S. for drug trafficking and Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act violations — including kidnapping and homicide — stemming from the 2001 death of Cynthia Garcia.
Eischeid and fellow gang member Kevin J. Augustiniak were charged with severely beating Garcia, putting her in the trunk of a car and partially decapitating her after stabbing her nearly 30 times in the desert, officials said.
Eischeid was released after his arrest and placed on electronic monitoring, officials said. But shortly after he was released, he removed his monitoring bracelet and fled the country.
To avoid detection, Eischeid used a new identity and obtained a fake passport to find employment, officials said. He wasn't apprehended until 2011 and has fought extradition back to the U.S. for the past seven years.
In June, it was determined that Eischeid used all of his appeals in the Argentinian government legal system and returned to the U.S. on Tuesday.
He has been on the "U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted" list since 2007. He is charged with first-degree murder, assisting a street gang and kidnapping.

A Pennsylvania state advisory board has recommended that Bill Cosby be deemed a 'sexually violent predator', which would require the convicted comedian to undergo counseling and register as a sex offender for life.
The Montgomery County District Attorney's office that prosecuted Cosby requested a hearing on Tuesday so a judge can make the final decision on whether the 81-year-old comedian should be considered sexually violent.
The 81-year-old comedian, who was convicted April 26 of aggravated indecent assault, was accused of drugging and assaulting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand at his home near Philadelphia in 2004.
The weekslong retrial included testimony from five other women who were among the dozens to accuse Cosby of similar sexual misconduct.
The former TV star, once known as 'America's Dad' for his portrayal of kindly Dr Cliff Huxtable on 'The Cosby Show', is now under house arrest with a GPS ankle monitor awaiting sentencing.
He is only allowed to leave to visit doctors or lawyers ahead of his September 24 hearing. Cosby faces up to 10 years in prison but his representatives have said he plans to appeal.
The report by the Sexual Offenders Assessment Board, which examined 14 different criteria, is not public.
Copies are given to the prosecutor, defense attorney and court before the hearing and the board's assessor will likely testify about how she made the recommendation.
State law already requires Cosby to register as a sex offender because of the nature of the charge of which he was convicted.
The sexually violent predator classification would require increased treatment in prison and increased notification of neighbors upon release.
A person deemed a predator is subject to lifetime, at least monthly, mandatory sex offender counseling with a treatment provider approved by the state board.
Under Pennsylvania law, a sexually violent predator is a person who has 'a mental abnormality or personality disorder the makes the person likely to engage in predatory sexually violent offenses.'
Following news of the board's recommendation, Cosby's victim Andrea Constand tweeted: 'I am very thankful right now'.
Asked about the assessment board hearing, Cosby's spokesman Andrew Wyatt said: 'We will see them in court'.
It comes after police were called to Cosby's home earlier this month for a noise complaint while he was celebrating his 81st birthday.

NEWS FLASH...NINTH CIRCUIT REMOVES COLLECTIVE HEAD FROM COLLECTIVE ASS

Acting on Tuesday a three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals recognized that the Second Amendment DOES in fact protect an individual right to bear arms in public in the case of Young vs. Hawaii.
Among other things the ruling, which had extensive historical research, stated "Just as the Second Amendment does not protect a right to bear arms only in connection with a militia, it surely does not protect a right to bear arms only as a security guard." Further the ruling stated, "But, for better or worse, the Second Amendment does protect a right to carry a firearm in public for self-defense." The ruling notes that no concealed carry license had EVER been granted by the county in which Young resides, seeming to indicated that no one within the county has ever had good cause to be issued a concealed carry license.
This puts the case somewhat at odds with a ruling by the entire Ninth Circuit two years ago in Peruta vs. San Diego County. In that case SCOTUS refused to hear the case, leaving the anti-2A ruling intact. It seems this is likely to set things up for a new referral to SCOTUS which, in light of the Heller decision and recent changes in the court, is likely to be good for fans of the Constitution.

They are (allegedly) part of a vicious British goat-fucker group known for barbaric cruelty to hostages. Their HMFIC, known as Jihadi John, was greased by a drone strike three years back. The group regularly beheads prisoners, including journalists.
It seems that the Home Secretary, Sajid Javid, has NOT sent the typical letter to the U. S. demanding that they not be executed.

A six-month old baby boy was kidnapped, set on fire and dumped near train tracks in Louisiana last week.
Baby Levi Cole Ellerbe was kidnapped on July 17 after two people came to mother Hanna Barker's trailer door just after 9pm and sprayed her in the face with what she believed was mace.
Instinctively, the Barker ran to get away, a statement from Natchitoches police said, and when she went back home, found her infant son was missing.
Police said the search for baby Levi began immediately, with additional officers from surrounding precincts called in to help.
Unfortunately, less than 90 minutes after Levi went missing, police were alerted to a fire nearby the railroad, where they found a badly burned six-month-old boy.
Levi was rushed to Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in a critical condition but died on Wednesday from his injuries.
Felicia Marie-Nicole Smith, 25, was charged with the first degree murder of Levi on Saturday and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.
It is unclear if Smith and Hanna Barker knew each other.
Levi was laid to rest on Friday. His obituary described him as 'the happiest baby who always had a big smile'.
'He spent his time playing with siblings and cousins especially outdoors, watching PJ Masks and video gaming with Uncle J,' the moving tribute read.
'He was an animal lover and anytime he could get his hands on his dog, Rex, he loved to pull his ears.
'Levi was a blessing to our family and everyone who met him. We will always remember him as our little “Chunky Monkey".'

Two guards at Culiacan Prison aided the escapees by driving a getaway car Sunday, police said.
El Universal identified the two men as Julian Grimaldi Paredes and Carlos Jesus Salomon Higuera.
Federal officials said Grimaldi Paredes was involved in the Sinaloa Cartel and participated in an ambush of an army convoy in 2016.
Police said Salomon Higuera took part in an ambush of state police in 2012 in which seven officers died.
Fermin Hernandez Montealegre, secretary of public security in Sinaloa, said the two men were being held in a new part of the prison and had to bypass several security measures before escaping.
Sinaloa Gov. Quirino Ordaz Coppel ordered an investigation into the escape and called on anyone who assisted the prisoners to come forward.
"That is and will be the main objective, to recapture them," he said, describing the two men has highly dangerous.

July 24 (UPI) -- Israel Defense Forces shot down a Syrian fighter jet that penetrated Israeli airspace Tuesday, for just the third time in the last 33 years.
The IDF said the Russian-made Sukhoi aircraft had been under surveillance as it entered about a mile into Israeli airspace, setting off sirens in communities near the Syrian border.
The IDF said the jet came from an airbase near Hama, a previous target of least two Israeli airstrikes and a base used by Iranian forces for drone operations in Syria.
Syria said the jet was targeted by Israel while still in Syrian airspace.
The state-run SANA news agency said Israel fired at the plane as it was "leveling [terrorist] encampments in the Saida region on the outskirts of the Yarmouk Basin, in Syrian airspace."
Sky News Arabia reported the plane crashed in southwest Syria, an area still under Islamic State control.
Information was not immediately available about whether the pilots ejected or their condition.
Tuesday's shoot-down of a Syrian jet was just the third by Israel's air force since 1985. In the second, in 2014, the air force shot down a Sukhoi jet with a U.S.-supplied Patriot missile about a half-mile into Israeli airspace. By the time the missile hit, the plane was on its way back to Syria. The two pilots ejected and landed in Syria.
Monday, authorities said Israel used its David's Sling interceptor system for the first time to intercept two ballistic missiles launched from Syria.
Sirens sounded in northern Israel as the IDF implemented the intercept of two SS-21 ballistic missiles. One landed in Syria near the Israeli border and it was unclear if the system intercepted the second.

The state-run SANA news agency said Israel fired at the plane as it was "leveling [terrorist] encampments in the Saida region on the outskirts of the Yarmouk Basin, in Syrian airspace."
Sky News Arabia reported the plane crashed in southwest Syria, an area still under Islamic State control.
Information was not immediately available about whether the pilots ejected or their condition.
Tuesday's shoot-down of a Syrian jet was just the third by Israel's air force since 1985. In the second, in 2014, the air force shot down a Sukhoi jet with a U.S.-supplied Patriot missile about a half-mile into Israeli airspace. By the time the missile hit, the plane was on its way back to Syria. The two pilots ejected and landed in Syria.
Monday, authorities said Israel used its David's Sling interceptor system for the first time to intercept two ballistic missiles launched from Syria.
Sirens sounded in northern Israel as the IDF implemented the intercept of two SS-21 ballistic missiles. One landed in Syria near the Israeli border and it was unclear if the system intercepted the second.

I’ve just learned my ancestors were bonobos
I’ve always been led to believe my ancestors were priests descending in an unbroken line from AronAaron, the brother of Moses in 1300 B.C. My friend Trey Rusk told me that sounded like a bunch of bullshit and suggested I try one of those ancestry websites.
So I found an ancestry website I liked and shelled out $99 for a DNA testing kit. About three weeks after I returned the DNA testing kit, I learned who my ancestors really were. Trey was right, I did not descent from a line of priests.
I was somewhat shocked to learn that my ancestors were bonobos, chimpanzee-like apeas found in the African country of Congo. My original name was not Katz, but Kuhrrauhrrtuhrrzuhrr.

The DNA revealed that I was 93.7 percent bonobo. The other 6.3 percent of descent could not be determined..
Shit! If I have to be descended from apes, I would rather they be orangutans because they are smarter and can spit further than bonobos. And orangutans live in Borneo, not Africa.
