ONE PROMISE I WANT TRUMP TO KEEP

Trump promised to move our embassy in Israel to Jerusalem

During his campaign for the presidency Trump made a lot of promises. Many of those promises he won’t be able to keep. He’s not going to be able to build a wall across our border with Mexico and even if he did, he’s not going to be able to make Mexico pay for it. While he will keep his promise to lower taxes, that will not bring back the jobs from overseas as he promised. And he’s already waffling on repealing Obamacare.

One promise he made will be easy to keep. Trump promised Jewish groups that he would move America’s embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. He already has Congressional approval to make this important to Israel move.

Israel considers Jerusalem to be its eternal capital. For fear of offending the Arabs with their oil riches, the Europeans refuse to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. The Americans have followed in line.

President George W. Bush promised to move the embassy to Tel Aviv but capitulated to the State Department which refused to move the embassy. President Obama made no such promises. Neither did Hillary Clinton who as Secretary of State also did not want to offend our Arab ‘friends.’

As a strong backer of Israel I have long wanted us to move our embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. If Trump breaks his promise, especially since he already has congressional approval for the move, then he’s the no good son of a bitch his opponents claimed he is.

I fully expect President Trump to keep his promise and to move the American embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem ASAP. If that offends our Arab ‘friends’, fuck ’em!

The man isn't even in office yet. Come on BGB give the guy a chance. You shouldn't compare him to others who broke promises. This guy started a movement, took on all comers and won. He did it for our country and to put an end to the politically correct environment we live in. He did it for the forgotten middle class. He did it for the future of our country (Supreme Court) that is circling the drain. He did it for our military, cops and educators who were defending themselves against constant criticism for while attempting to do their jobs.

You spent a year and a half betting against him. There is no way he can do all the things he promised, but I'll bet you he will try. I see some Theodore Roosevelt in him. He needs support our support. I still have my Trump sign in my yard and it will remain there until it wears out.

I wonder what the real estate costs are there? I expect it is a bit pricey.
