Charles Smith, 17, presumably of Little Rock, is never going to make it to 18 because he is dead.
He was the back-seat passenger in a car involved in a stop in Little Rock. For reasons not yet made public the cops took everybody out of the car and started patting them down. Young Mr. Smith got very froggy, and had to be told twice to keep his hands away from his body. He said something about "I can't go to jail" and went for a gun. The cop searching him tackled him but he managed to get a couple of shots off before the cops partner ventilated his happy ass. He died. The cops are both fine.
Fortunately the whole thing is on dash cam so it is pretty clear cut.
Well, at least he didn't go to jail, unless the morgue is attached to the jail. In that case he is probably deeply disappointed.
