Two armed robbers in Stockton allowed themselves to be run off by an unarmed customer Monday morning.
The two bad guys entered a business at about 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of Charter Way with I-5. One jumped the counter, the other went to the office to try to get the safe opened. The back room employee was unable to open the safe (I think this is a fast food restaurant that is being referred to. It is common that the employees can not open the safe at such businesses.) While the second man was cleaning out the till a customer thumped him with a chair. At that time both robbers fled the scene.
