DailyMail.com can reveal that Francesco Marlett was awarded a Bronze Medal of Valor by the Prince George County police department in 2021 - which requires officers to have put himself at 'unusual personal risk'.
Footage of Marlett, 34, went viral after he was caught on camera making out with a scantily-clad woman before climbing into the back of his cruiser.
His wife, Paula, 29, has since claimed that he was having an affair for 'years' and it was his 'mistress' in the footage with him.
It is unclear what Marlett did to be awarded the medal in 2021, but the officer has since been suspended for his actions in the back of the car.
