Jennifer Crumbley, mother of
school shooter Ethan Crumbley, was found guilty today on multiple counts
of manslaughter for the people Ethan shot to death. The case is
possibly precedent-setting (if it holds up) in that the parents bought
the kid a gun and took no efforts to monitor his access to it even
though they knew he was having serious mental health issues and
homicidal ideation. In fact they were at a parent-teacher conference at
the school the day he shot the school up. He had the gun in his
backpack. They didn't bother to tell the school the kid had access to a
firearm.
Ethan's daddy goes on trial next month on the same charges. Ethan was prosecuted as an adult and copped to the charges.

My father was a former US Marine. He was very open with me about firearms. He trained me in their use and always impressed upon me the fact that firearms were made for killing. We kept firearms in our home and my sisters and I knew that they were for our protection.
