This reminds me of the old John Dillinger-Al Capone days when gangsters hid their Tommy Guns, then the equivalent to today’s assault rifles, in violin cases.

BRENTWOOD -- A parolee was revealed to be a "Desperado" when officers searching his car during a traffic stop Monday night found a guitar case concealing an assault rifle and ammunition, police said.
The discovery, reminiscent of the title character in the 1995 Robert Rodriguez action film who similarly carried weapons via musical storage, was made about 10:45 p.m. near the In-N-Out Burger in the 5500 block of Lone Tree Way when a patrol officer stopped a Buick Regal for a moving violation, said Sgt. Mark Misquez.
A background check showed the driver Andrew Pena, 21, of Brentwood, was on parole for robbery, so the officer called for backup and searched the car, Misquez said. That turned up the guitar case, which contained an assault rifle with a high-capacity magazine and several hundred rounds.
The assault rifle and magazine are illegal to own in California, Misquez said, and the driver's felon status already prohibited him from having firearms or ammunition. No one else was in the vehicle.
Pena was arrested and booked into County Jail on suspicion of weapons offenses. He is being held without bail for violating parole.
