FUN AND GAMES IN STOCKTON

by Bob Walsh

It wasn't much by Chicago standards, maybe not even by Stockton standards. The article is on page A4, above the fold. But still....

Late Saturday and early Sunday in Stockton brought a total of six shooting, but only one of them a death, to the attention of the Stockton RECORD.

The homicide occurred near the port of Stockton. The other two incidents left five people wounded. Two of these three situations were house parties (also known as bullet magnets) and one was a simple drive-by in the wee hours of Sunday. The victim of the drive-by was walking along Pacific Ave around midnight, allegedly-possibly minding his own business, when he took some incoming fire from a passing car.

No names, no suspects, no motives, no nothing, just another weekend in my hometown of Stockton
