About two hours ago in Alexandria, Virginia, Republican congressmen were practicing for tomorrow’s annual congressional Democrats vs. Republicans baseball game when a white gunman opened fire on them with what one witness described as an AK-47.
Capitol Police officers, who were there to protect House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, exchanged shots with the gunman. Alexandria cops showed up within three minutes. Some witnesses said 50-100 shots were fired.
When the smoke cleared, Scalise had been wounded in the hip, two Capitol Police officers were also wounded and the gunman was shot and taken into custody. A fifth person, believed to be a congressional staffer, was also wounded.
Reports say the gunman asked what political party the ballplayers belonged to before he entered the ballpark and opened fire.
A source tells me the gunman was hired by Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer who wanted to make sure that the Democrats would score at least one win.

Even though it's blogged in The Unconditional Gazette, It's not really funny.
Its a good thing that protective detail was there or there would have been a LOT more casualties. It was several minutes before the Alexandria P D arrived and most of the "targets" were enclosed within the fencing of the infield. It would have been like shooting fish in a barrel without the return fire.
