LIKE HIM OR HATE HIM, DONALD TRUMP IS OUR PRESIDENT

Though he acts like a jerk, the anti-Trump crowd must accept the fact that until he is out of office, he is their president too

Never in modern history had the country been faced with two such disgusting candidates for the highest office of the land. When I voted for Trump I was actually voting against Hillary. It was a choice of voting either for a jerk or for a known crook, and I wasn’t about to vote for a crook. But I did not relish voting for a jerk either.

Trump’s latest fiasco is the Tweet in which he went after his MSNBC nemesis Mika Brzezinski. It is true that Brzezinski has been his constant critic, but going after her with a personal attack merely enhances her ‘Morning Joe’ show. Although Trump has every right to personally attack his critics, that’s something only a jerk would do if he is America’s president.

Brzezinski and he fiancé and co-host Joe Scarborough responded Friday with a Washington Post column titled “Donald Trump is not well.” And Trump’s Tweet was not only blasted by Democrats – loudmouth Sheila Jackson Lee called on him to resign – but by a notable number of Republicans as well.

I recognized Trump as a jerk during the progression of the presidential campaign. He won the election and the Democrat candidate lost –for which I am glad – and even though he is a jerk, he is still the president of every American.

And it’s way past time for the anti-Trump crowd to accept the fact that until he is out of office, he is their president too. Instead of doing everything they can to undermine Trump’s presidency, the Democrats should try to find some common ground with which to work with our president.
