A
Correctional Officer in Nasau County, N.Y. was slashed by a Bloods gang
member who he had been escorting to his cell. The prisoner ripped the
officer's metal name plate off his shirt and slashed him with it. When a
second officer responded three more inmates charged into the cell to
attack.
There has been a
substantial "consolidation" of the facility in recent weeks. I guess
that means they are cramming the prisoners they have left into smaller
and smaller spaces. That is not a recipe for peace among the client
population.

County Deputy CO's are notorious for wearing street uniform in full regalia to and from work. They arrive and take off their rig and gun and place them in the trunk. Then go inside the jail with their keys in their pocket along with the vehicle remote. CO uniforms should be all fabric with sewn on badges and names. Key fobs should be secured upon entry.
Yup. You got that right.
