has just been introduced in the legislature of the formerly great state
of California. If passed into law it would effectively ban biological
men and boys from competing in girls sports in CA. It has essentially
zero chance.
The people
pushing it are making a great deal of the fact that Gavin Newsom is
kinda-sorta supporting the IDEA that allowing biological males to
compete against biological females in athletics is fundamentally fair.
He is clearly trying to LOOK LIKE he is moving towards the center for as
presidential run in 3 years. Don't bet on it being real. He is a liar
and a weasel.
Also the
legislature in CA has super majorities of Democrat-Socialists in both
houses. The chairman of the first committee this bill will be heard in
is also a member of the LGBTQ caucus in the legislature. They are
already screaming YOU ARE HATERS. YOU HATE TRANS PEOPLE. YOU SHOULD
DIE.
Gavin Newsom will not
comment on pending legislation (unless it suits his political position
to do so). This bill will either be voted down or (more likely) die of
neglect in some corner.
