THIEVES ON VERGE OF DRIVING BUSINESSMAN OUT OF BUSINESS

Seabrook Business Hit by Burglars for Third Time — Owner Left Reeling

SEABROOK, Texas — A local Seabrook business is reeling after suffering its third break-in in just over a year, with the most recent incident leaving behind a trail of damage, stolen property, and rising frustration.

Green Discount Store and Seabrook Cell Repair, located in the 1900 block of Hialeah, was targeted again by thieves who broke through the walls of connected units, tore doors from their hinges, and made off with money, trading cards, cell phones, and even air conditioning units.

Security cameras, which might have captured the crime, were not operational at the time due to financial hardship. The store owner said wires had been previously cut during a past break-in and could not be repaired amid ongoing financial strain.

When KGTX 7 arrived on the scene, tools were still scattered across the floor, doors lay damaged, and patched-up holes between business spaces made clear how the burglars navigated through the property. The owner, who declined to appear on camera, confirmed this was the third break-in — with the last one taking place in April.

While Seabrook police detectives did respond to the scene and have opened a case, there have been no new leads. Due to the weekend, detectives were not immediately available for comment.

Despite the repeated setbacks, the store remains open and is calling on the community for support as it tries to stay afloat. The owner emphasized a deep commitment to Seabrook and hopes someone will come forward with information that could help solve the case.

I can literally buy a hidden video camera for less than $30 on Amazon. That strip center looks like it has been abandoned.
