Lyle and Erik Menendez murdered their parents 36 years
ago.  There is no question about that.  None.  The DA alleged that they
did it in order to inherit the money.  Their actions after their
parent's deaths would tend to support that assertion.
They
have fairly recently "revealed" that they were frightened of their
father because he was (allegedly) molesting them and they JUST HAD TO
kill him to defend themselves.  It isn't real clear why they shotgunned
their mother in this case, but they did.  They got life without.
In
any event since Life Without Parole is a meaningless phrase in CA now
they are going to speak to the parole board today and tomorrow.  The
parole board MIGHT recommend them for release.  The Governor has the
authority to overturn a release recommendation.  Whether he would use it
is hard to say, but generally speaking, like most good liberals, he
does not believe in personal responsibility, so you don't know what he
might decide.
I will keep you posted.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Like most good liberals? Bob, that's a bridge too far. Like most people, they believe in personal responsibility. I suspect that applies as well to Gov. Newsom.

Sorry Howie, I have to disagree with you. CA has shifted WAY LEFT since you ran for the hills. Not the real people so much, but our political ruling class has for sure.
Bob, I agree with your comment, but just because California has shifted WAY LEFT, tat in no way justifies saying most good liberals do not believe in personal responsibility.
