Ten officers of the Mount
Pleasant S.C. police department have been sacked over allegations of
cheating on the state certification examination.
According
to a statement from Police Chief Mark Arnold the investigation
initially led to the firing of two officers. Subsequent investigation
led to eight additional officers who either provided answers or received
answers to the test.
The officers allegedly cooperated in the investigation. The officers do have appeal rights. No names have been released.
