CORRECTIONAL OFFICER STABBED AT TEHACHAPI

by Bob Walsh

A California state correctional officer was stabbed on Tuesday in a fight with a criminal at the state prison at Tehachapi.

Agustin Garcia, 41, attacked the officer by throwing hot water in his face and then stabbing him in the shoulder, neck and head. This was clearly a serious attempt to kill the officer. Garcia is doing life out of Kings County for attempted murder of a peace officer.

Staff (and two other inmates) responded to aid the unnamed officer. Garcia ended up with a busted skull and a broken face during the fight to take him down. I am confident some dirtbag lawyer will complain that he was treated abusively.

No information has been released on the officer's condition.
