There were two homicides by gunfire last night in the crime-ridden and gang-infested open sewer that is Stockton.
A 19-year old woman was hit numerous times in a drive-by shooting (pretty decent shooting compared to the usual) at a central Stockton apartment complex. Also a 21-year old man was shot to death in a residential area of north Stockton. At least a dozen rounds were fired at about 5 a.m. from in front of a house next door. The house is a well-known local party pad and a large party had broken up earlier that morning.
I grant you it's not Chicago,but with a base population of only about 300,000 it is worth an honorable mention.
