WHERE IN THE HELL WERE THE COPS? A SHAMEFUL DAY FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT …LAWLESS ENFORCEMENT WOULD BE MORE APPROPRIATE

A mob of college students organized by communists, destroyed the statue of a Confederate soldier that stood in front of the old county courthouse in Durham, N.C. and there was nary a cop in sight

In 1924, the citizens of Durham, N.C. erected the bronze statue of a rifle-bearing Con federate soldier on the grounds in front of the county courthouse. The soldier was 15 feet tall and stood on two granite pedestals. “In memory of the boys who wore the gray,” was engraved on the pedestal.

The statue is no more. It was destroyed Monday evening by a mob of mostly young people chanting “No Trump! No KKK! No fascist USA!”

Videos show a woman climbing up an extension ladder and, to the cheers of the throng below, placing a strap around the neck of the soldier. Then the mob tugged and pulled the soldier with its small pedestal off the larger pedestal. The statue hit the ground soldier head-first and tumbled over with the pedestal sitting on its base. The soldier was completely bent over backwards, thus effectively destroying the statue which had stood there for nearly 100 years.

Once the destroyed statue was on the ground members of the mob took turns kicking it and spitting on it.

Since Durham is home to Duke University, it is fair to say that most of the mob consisted of Duke University students. The organizers of the statue destruction consisted of the Triangle People’s Assembly, Workers World Party, Industrial Workers of the World, Democratic Socialists of America, all well-known communist organizations active on college campuses.

The old Durham County courthouse is now a county administrative facility.

Were in the hell were the cops?

A couple of deputies videotaped the event but that’s all the Durham CountySheriff’s Department did.

The Durham Police stayed completely away. When contacted, a spokesman for the Durham city police stated that since the statue stood on county grounds, it was up to the sheriff’s department to be there.

Monday’s event in Durham was not only a shameful day for America, but it was also a shameful day for law enforcement … perhaps lawless enforcement would be a more appropriate name.

America, you got what you asked for. The police are bullies, killers and racists if they act. What did you think would happen after years of lying, berating, indicting and prosecuting police officers. The police remember Ferguson, New York City and Baltimore. The then President of the United States openly criticized police officers and brought in the DOJ for a righteous shooting in Ferguson. Citizens have memorialized Michael Brown, a thug who robbed a store and tried to kill a police officer with a statue in Ferguson.

Where is the statue for officer Darrel Wilson? His life was ruined because he did his job. How much money did you send his Go Fund Me account?

Deputies recorded the Confederate statue in Durham being destroyed. Maybe they will get warrants for those involved. Maybe not. You can bet they won't be wrongly prosecuted.

There was a sign at my old office. "Sometimes There is Justice and Sometimes There is Just Us." Maybe that's not true anymore.
