Harvey Weinstein has announced that he is a "sex addict" and has gone into treatment to cure him. I believe that there are real sex addicts out there. These people at one time lead normal, productive lives and ended up in a basement apartment choking their chicken in front of a computer screen for hours and hours and hours at a stretch.
Harvey Weinstein is, IMHO, merely a powerful asshole who got away with bad behavior for years and years and years because he thought he COULD get away with it and thought he WOULD be protected by powerful friends. Both turned out to be true, at least up to a point.
That being said as far as I am concerned he is a rapist and molester and asshole and deserves to be in prison for a long, long time.

I knew a cop who got caught getting a blow job. The chief wanted to fire him and the civil service board believed his testimony of being a sex addict and sent him for treatment. He retired with full benefits.
