The mayor of Denver's son cursed at, berated and threatened an officer's job who had pulled him over for speeding, and it was all caught on camera.

Denver Mayor Michael Hancock's son Jordan, was pulled over on March 23 for driving 65mph in a 40 zone.

Instead of cooperating with the officer issuing the ticket, in the Aurora police district- not Denver's- the 22-year-old is cursing at him saying: 'My dad's the mayor, you fucking faggot.'

The incident is caught on what appears to be the officer's body camera video, posted by Denver 7.

The young man then threatens the officer: 'Guess what? I'm about to get you fired you fucking bitch.'

The officer, responding to Jordan's tirade about how his father, the mayor of Denver is going to be able to fire the cop, says to the young man: 'Of Denver? Well you're in Aurora.'

In the 20-second clip, the officer also sarcastically snips, 'Your father is going to be proud.'

On Jordan's ticket, the officer wrote: 'Attitude very poor-see video.'

When the mayor's son appeared in court, he agreed to pay a $250 fine, but declined reporters' questions about the incident.

'We addressed this matter with Jordan and he has apologized to the officer,' Michael Hancock's office said in a statement.

'While we do not support nor condone his inexcusable actions and words during this traffic stop, we love our son dearly and support him.'

Additionally, the Aurora Police Department declined to comment on the video and also said they are launching an internal investigation to find out how the video was leaked to the press.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Of course, you’re missing the whole fucking point. The important thing here is to nail the cop(s) that leaked the cam footage.

I didn't know that traffic stop videos were classified items. In fact, I was told by a district attorney that they were public unless they contained information that could later taint a jury pool. That did not apply here.

In most departments the video cannot be obtained by the officer. A supervisor must obtain it from the server. The system automatically downloads it when the officer returns to the station. The officer can't even review the video unless a supervisor downloads upon request.

Texas does not allow the use of personal body video cams.

Assuming your editorial comment is not intended as a sarcastic joke, I disagree completely.

Bob, let's be real. The police chief doesn't give a damn about the assholiness of the Mayor's son. He and his command lapdogs want to burn whoever leaked the body cam video.

Some things are just crying out to be leaked. That is one of those things. It might not have been "right" but it was very likely correct.
