MASSIVE WATER THEFT BACK UP AND RUNNING

by Bob Walsh

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California has agreed to buy into the theft to the tune of about $11 billion. This makes it much more likely, though far from certain, that the $16.7 billion theft of water from NorCal, called California WaterFix, or California WaterFuck, depending on who you ask, will actually happen. The district vote was 60% t0 39%.

This means that, if it goes ahead, this district will fund about 66% of the project, even though it's customers will get only about 25% of the water stolen. Essentially what will happen is the SoCal district is paying the amount the districts in the rural San Joaquin valley are not willing to go in for, out of fear of massive cost overrides.

The project would drive two huge tunnels under the Delta to a diversion pumping station for the California Aquaduct, diverting gazzilions of gallons of water from the Delta to keep golf courses nice in SoCal.
