IF AT FIRST YOU DONT SUCCEED, TRY AGAIN ..... OOPS, THAT DIDN'T WORK

Did pilots FORGET to put wheels down on doomed PIA 8303? Airbus performed a belly landing and took off again before crashing on second attempt killing 97 people onboard

Captain Sajjad Gull, who was at the controls of doomed Pakistan Airlines Flight 8303 when it crashed on Friday killing 97, may have forgotten to put the wheels down when landing, experts said.

Analysis of voice recordings taken from air traffic control while the plane was on its first approach suggest a warning signal was sounding in the cockpit indicating the landing gear were not lowered and locked, Indian media reported.

That - taken with flight data and a photograph of what appears to be damage to the underside of the plane moments before the crash - suggest Cpt Gull scraped the bottom of the plane along the tarmac, damaging both engines before attempting to go around for a second landing. During the go-around either one or both of the engines failed, and the plane plunged from the sky.

No official explanation has yet been given for the crash, which is under investigation by an Airbus team who are due in Karachi today.

I once flew on Aero Mexico and noticed the overhead bins constantly opening as if the plane was bending. The pilot a huge Hispanic man eating an ice cream cone came back and looked it over. He laughed and said, "Ee's broke." Never again.

I find it hard to understand how you could do that, with the "computer" yelling at you to put the goddamn landing gear down, unless you were really stoned, really drunk, or really stupid. How did the co-pilot miss it? I am not saying it didn't happen that way. Maybe they were both too busy sodomizing a goat to pay attention. Nice thing about the photographs of the alleged first landing attempt, it shouldn't take too much analysis of them and the flight recorder to get to the truth.
