Earlier today a Merced County, CA. Sheriff's Deputy had a
very close encounter with an armed asshole. She attempted to stop the
guy while he driving his pickup truck. He fled with more alacrity and
skill, and smashed up the truck. He bailed out an ran, with his AR-15.
The deputy pursued on foot. At some point the asshole stopped and
turned on the deputy and fired one round, hitting her in the ear. They
were close enough to each other to leave powder burns on her uniform.
She shot back. She walked away. They carried him away in a bag.
Waste of a decent pickup truck, but other than that.....
