FURTHER INFO ON AIR INDIA 787 CRASH

By Bob Walsh

The last seconds of the flight of the Air India 787 before it crashed

Some information has been released in the last day or so on the Air India 787 Dreamliner that crashed seconds after takeoff last month.  It seems that the fuel feeds to both engines were manually shut off, then restored.  Info on the voice recorder seems to substantiate this assertion from the flight data recorder.  The very low altitude of the plane did not give enough time for the engines to build up thrust again before the plane crashed.  People who claim to know about such things assert that this could not have been done accidentally, like bumping a light switch.  The fuel pump switches are protected (covered) and physically difficult to disengage.

Assuming this is correct, that raises further questions.  Was this just a bizarre incident of somebody having a serious brain fart or a deliberate, successful attempt to crash the plane and kill a bunch of people?
