Jun Reina
Jun Reina, 60, was until recently the General Manager and
CFO of CapRadio, the PBS affiliate in Sacramento. He is currently a
guest of the people being unable to make his $200,000 bail.
He
is believed to have helped himself to $1.3 million in company funds to
support his personal lifestyle, children's education and household
remodeling. This criminal mastermind apparently wrote checks to himself
and deposited them in his account.
He
has been the GM since 2020 and an employee of the station since 2007. I
guess he figured the auditors were too stupid to look. The prosecutor
believes the thefts have been going on for some time so he was almost
right.
