A PUBLIC-SERVICE HOMIDIDE

Parents hunt down, shoot dead their 17-year-old daughter’s pimp

The parents are now in a heap of trouble. While many of us agree with Bob Walsh that this is a public-service homicide, unfortunately for the parents, society and the criminal justice system don’t see it that way.

A couple from the People’s Republic of San Francisco are alleged to have hunted down and murdered the man who was pimping out their 17-year old daughter in what many would call a public-service homicide.

Calvin Sneed, 22, was an alleged Nutty Block Crip gang member from Compton. Barry Gilton, 38, and Lupe Mercado, 37, tried legal means to get their daughter away from him. When that was not successful the cops claim they hunted Sneed across the state and finally shot him down near Candlestick Park on June 4.

Sneed was driving his Camry (must be a low-rent pimp) when somebody (allegedly Gilton) blasted him with a .40 caliber. Sneed crashed into a parked car and went toes up at SF General.

Both Gilton and Mercado are being held against a $2 million bail.

I am not advocating murdering pimps. I have, however, never known a pimp who wasn’t a worthless human being. Perhaps we should put a bounty on pimps and regulate the process of thinning them out. Maybe have fish-and-game put out a tag for pimps. Raise some money for the state in the process. That might do the job.
