ONE HELL OF A WEDDING PRESENT

By Bob Walsh

Anthony Avila-Puebla, 31, of Cicero, Illinois, was identified as both the body found in the debris and the man responsible for the explosion that destroyed a newlywed couple's home as they were saying 'I do' last month

Anthony Avila-Puebla, 31, of Cicero, Illinois, had some issues apparently.  Back on February 15 he and a date attended the wedding of Eleni Vrettos, 32, and Tom Davis.  Avila-Puebla's date was in fact a relative of Vrettos'.

He cut out a bit early from the post-wedding celebration, went to the home of the new bride and groom and blew up the building, killing himself in the process.  It isn't quite clear if that was deliberate or a manifestation of incompetence.  Six cats also died in the fire.

Avila-Puebla had reported been involved at one time in a relationship with a resident of the home.  It wasn't clear if that person was the bride.

The fire forced the temporary evacuation of 11 families in adjacent properties.  There was surveillance of Avila-Puebla carrying numerous five gallon cans into the house prior to the explosion and fire.

Don't fuck with gasoline. It's not the liquid that burns. It's the fumes.
