SCOTUS TAKES BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP CASE

By Bob Walsh

The Trump administration Thursday called on the U.S. Supreme Court to take action on three cases from lower courts dealing with the president's executive order ending the constitutional right to birthright citizenship.  (Getty Images)

On Thursday SCOTUS announced that they were accepting the Donald Trump birthright citizenship case.  My guess, for what that might be worth to you, is that it will not prevail at this time on this level.  I believe it will need changes in the law, followed up by a constitutional amendment, to do the job.

But I could be wrong.  Turns out it isn't as straight-forward as I thought it was.

EDITOR'S NOTE: It's in the U.S. Constitution. Leave it alone! And by the way, didn't Trump take an oath to uphold the Constitution?
