What is often called the "Climate Change Hoax" is, too
many people, a religion. Lee Zeldin, the head of the Trump EPA, has
pretty well killed off (at least officially) the Obama era climate
policy that said we were all going to die if we didn't make radical
changes in how we live our lives RIGHT THIS MINUTE or else we would all
be swimming in salt water all the way up to Denver alongside the corpses
of polar bears. Strange, but it never happened. The computer models
are bullshit. When people try to go backwards with them using known
information and known results they turn out to be useless. The
government of the United States is now acknowledging the truth.
The
Endangerment Finding, generated in 2009 under the Clean Air Act, was
used to justify hundreds of billions of dollars in regulations,
including the idiotic EV mandates. This change will cause the largest
deregulation in history.
It
should be noted that the 2006 California Global Warming Solutions Act
set up a target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by
not later than 2020. We actually did it in 2016. The "change or die"
wack jobs want to keep moving the goal posts.
A
lot of the people pimping the climate change hoax are well meaning
idiots. Many are (IMHO) simply reincarnations of old-line commies who
want to destroy our economic system and are very happy to use whatever
mechanism presents itself to achieve that goal.
Cutting
back on the spewing of bad things into the air is a laudable goal.
Destroying out economy is not. As long as China and India continue to
ignore such things there will be issues but we have gone a long way in
the right direction. We don't have to freeze in the dark eating locally
sources roots and berries because the transport system is dead and the
power grid is dead in order to achieve our goals.
EDITOR'S NOTE: You can call the world's leading scientists "well meaning
idiots," but climate change is for real and not a hoax. You don't have to be a scientist ... just look at the disappearing glaciers.
Killing the Obama climate change policies is a good thing, but it does not mean "climate change is now officially dead."
