MALONE, Texas - A Hill County man in custody on a weapons charge will soon be facing additional charges after authorities in Central Texas removed an improvised explosive device (IED) from a local bridge, the Hill County Sheriff’s Office said.
Michael Louis Degner, 48, of Malone, is charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, the sheriff said.
Degner was arrested at about 2 p.m. on July 25 after authorities executed a warrant in the 500 block of West Hackberry Street.
Prior to the execution of this warrant, authorities had received reports from residents in Penelope, Texas, about “sporadic explosions that had been occurring in the town in recent days and weeks, primarily during the nighttime hours,” the sheriff said.

You pretty much have to cross that bridge to go to Malone, Texas. I wonder if he was waiting on somebody in particular.
