Last week the United Kingdom lowered the voting age to
16. I can't imagine how wonderful that will be for them. Hormonal high
school students deciding major policy (at least indirectly) for their
country. What could possibly go wrong?
It
should be noted that the voting age in Wales and Scotland has been 16
for quite a while and they are still at least semi-functional. Maybe it
won't be horrible. Maybe most 16-year olds won't bother to vote
anyway, as long as the latest pop idol isn't running for anything.
