Christina Corpus, the embattled Sheriff of San Mateo
County, CA. originally opposed having her removal hearing open to the
public. She has backtracked on that and the hearing, supposed to begin
this coming Monday, will be open to the public. The hearing will be
before the Board of Supervisors, which can remove her from office.
She
apparently concluded that, since she is an elected official many of the
privacy rights of the Peace Officer's Bill of Rights in CA do not apply
to her and her attempts to keep the hearing closed would ultimately be
unsuccessful.
These is a
524 page report detailing her allegedly stupidity, incompetence and
sleaziness. This report was submitted to the board which began the
procedures to remove her from office.
