Several federal government organizations including the
National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health have
announced the cancellation of about $200 million in grants to UCLA.
This move was made specifically in response to assertions by the feds
that UCLA has, at a minimum, tolerated rather grotesque antisemitism on
campus. This has included allowing various student "protest groups" to
set up "Jewish Exclusion Zones" on campus where Jewish students and
employees were not permitted entry.
Governor Gavin Newsom objected strenuously, asserting that Donald Trump was a Nazi and was being mean.
