THIS STINKS EVEN WORSE THAN I THOUGHT

James Gallagher, the Assembly Republican leader, criticized the Democrats’ plan to redraw the California congressional map. California Democrats have said that they were responding to redistricting changes by Republicans in Texas.

 

Some more info has hit the air waves this afternoon about the CA Redistricting Plan.  Assuming that KFBK, the major news-talk radio channel in the greater Sacramento area has it right, there is serious reason to believe that at least two state-house Democrats who are about to be termed out agreed to vote FOR this proposal in exchange for them being set up with a secure seat to run for congress.  Allegedly the feds are looking at this.  I don't know how illegal it might be until they actually cast a vote but you never know.  If whatever nameless faceless group has already drawn the appropriate maps that could maybe be considered a specific act in the furtherance of a conspiracy.  It may amount to nothing, but neither does it sound like background noise.
