IT'S ARABS AND MUSLIMS TODAY WHO ARE CONTINUING AND EXPANDING THEIR PRACTICE OF HUMAN BONDAGE IN AFRICA

Candace Owens goes full Farrakhan on the Jews

The fact that Arabs and Muslims were making slaves of black people was (and remains) a direct threat to Farrakhan's con.

Far-right political commentator Candace Owens

Far-right political commentator Candace Owens’s quest to prove that the Mossad killed Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, on Sept. 10 with the help of a TPUSA staffer and Kirk’s widow, Erika, hit a wall. They were booed at TPUSA’s AmericaFest rally when conservative media commentator Ben Shapiro made it clear that they are not proper examples of conservative discourse. Not a minute went by, it seems, until Owens added yet another hit on the Jews—that they controlled the trans-Atlantic slave trade.

“Wake up and learn the true history of slavery,” she implored black Americans, “because that wasn’t exactly a ‘white men’ sport, OK? Jewish people were the ones that were trading us. Jewish people were in control of the slave trade. They’ve buried a lot of it, but it’s there, and you can find it.”

She got this directly from Louis Farrakhan and his Nation of Islam, whose “Historical Research Department” published the libel as The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews, a 334-page book, in 1991.

Far more of Farrakhan’s followers bought the book than actually read it, but its thesis was simple and easily dispersible as a war cry against Jews for what many think is the cruelest crime ever committed against black people anywhere. Like The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, it is a pure fabrication—but, similarly, it is wickedly clever. To be sure, some Jewish merchants, mostly in the Caribbean, actually did own African slaves and chartered the ships that brought them to the New World, and some also did own slaves in antebellum America. But, despite its 1,275 footnotes, the book is a fraud.

The real number of Jews who personally owned black slaves is laughably tiny. In British Jamaica in 1774, for example, City University of New York scholar Eli Faber documented that while Jews did own 310 human beings combined, this accounts for 12 Jews owning about 4% of the slaves laboring in the slave-trading hub of Jamaica during that period. And, by 1830, within the states that would eventually secede from the Union, Yale scholar David Brion Davis calculated that “there were only 23 Jews among the 59,000 slaveholders owning 20 or more slaves, and just four Jews among the 11,000 slaveholders owning 50 or more slaves. In other words, the South’s ‘master class’ of big plantation owners was 99.9 percent non-Jewish.”

The trick was that while culpability for the trans-Atlantic slave trade actually lies at the feet of what amounts to almost everybody whose polity faced the Atlantic at the time, only Jews were blamed. Farrakhan’s evil genius was to go down the vast shore of human complicity in black slavery, pick up a handful of “Jewish” sand, hold it up and proclaim, as did Owens, that “Jewish people were in control of the slave trade.”

This charge that Owens makes may actually harm her—and her “cause”—far more than accusing Erika Kirk of murdering her husband. That’s because the response to this libel will go well beyond Erika’s demanding that this just “stop.” Instead, she will be exposed as doing horrific damage to the very people for whom she claims to be fighting. She can and will be shown to be helping today’s real slave masters escape their just deserts.

And that’s exactly what happened to Louis Farrakhan some 30 years ago.

You see, it was the Arabs and their black converts, with the assistance of war-like African kings, who did most to help facilitate the trans-Atlantic slave trade. They, not Jews, marched enslaved people to the markets, all ready for the Europeans to buy. And Arabs were enslaving Africans since they first invaded in the seventh century, shipping millions east, some as far as China. One estimate for those Africans who died as a result of the slave trade in both directions (perhaps low) is 120 million. And it is Arabs and Muslims today who are continuing and expanding their practice of human bondage in Africa.

It was this last reality that got Farrakhan into a terrible public-relations problem a few years after The Secret Relationship was loosed on the world, when news of Arab Muslims owning black slaves in Mauritania and Sudan made its way into the black community media.

Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan

This was a major irritant for Farrakhan since his core mission is to convince black Americans that Islam, and not Christianity, is the path to true freedom. The fact that Arabs and Muslims were making slaves of black people was (and remains) a direct threat to Farrakhan's con.

Back then, Arabs were storming Christian villages in Sudan, massacring men while dragging off the women and children as slaves. Even worse for Farrakhan, in Mauritania, black Muslims (supposedly, Farrakhan’s own “brothers”) were held in chattel bondage in vast numbers, horrifically tortured, forbidden to touch the Quran with their black hands and handed down through their masters’ estates like furniture.

Throughout 1995, Farrakhan mobilized his organization against the brave black journalists who were reporting on the slavery in Harlem’s biggest papers. And he blamed this controversy of his own making on “the Jews,” claiming they had fabricated the story to ruin his movement.

The following year, Farrakhan felt pressed to deny that Sudan’s bin Laden-sheltering, Muslim Brotherhood government, which he was covertly helping in its jihad against their Christian victims, was sending raiding parties to capture black slaves. In response, The Baltimore Sun sent two reporters to Sudan who purchased freedom for two black slave boys, publishing a front-page, Pulitzer-nominated series chronicling their discovery. Then, to Farrakhan’s further chagrin, the Clinton administration stopped a $1 billion grant from his Arab “brother” Muammar al-Qaddafi, under whose rule slavery was rampant.

An angry Farrakhan then had his newspaper, The Final Call, publish a crude cartoon of a Jewish man auctioning off a well-dressed black American couple held in chains. It eventually persuaded the Bush administration to pressure Sudan to stop the slave raids and end its jihad against the Christians. That peace process ended in the 2011 referendum, in which the Christian south voted 98.83% to leave Arab Sudan. Thus, ironically, did Farrakhan’s Jew-hatred help father the world’s newest nation: South Sudan, now a close Israeli ally.

Today, Owens, who has decided to follow Farrakhan into the “Jews were slavers” sewer, will face similar problems. Even in the age of poisoned podcasting, the truth never disappears. Worse, news about the jihad, the slavery, and the mass murder has spread and intensified greatly since the pre-Internet age.

Jihad, perpetrated by both Arab and black Muslims, now arguably engulfs 22 African countries, stretching from Algeria in the north to Mozambique in the south. Slavery also exists not only in Mauritania and Sudan, but in Algeria and Libya as well, where Arabs prey upon sub-Saharan migrants en route to Europe—some tortured, some purchased (on camera) at semi-secret night-time auctions. Poor African women, too, lured by promises of well-paid jobs as housekeepers and maids, are trafficked to Arab countries like Egypt and the Gulf states, where their passports are confiscated. Many are casually sold, raped, beaten for taking a day off—even murdered and mutilated for asking to go home.

So, too, parallel to Farrakhan’s cover-up of Sudanese and Mauritanian jihad slavery a generation ago, Owens, the supposed Christian crusader, is ignoring one of the worst anti-Christian atrocities on Earth today—in Nigeria.

For the better part of two decades, Boko Haram, ISIS-affiliated militias, and Fulani Muslim gangs have terrorized the Christian population living in the central and northern regions of the country. As of 2025, some 125,000 Christians have been murdered since 2009, including more than 19,000 churches destroyed and countless innocents burned alive, shot and beheaded, with the complicity of the Nigerian government and army.

Some Boko Haram warriors have also kidnapped girls and boys as slaves, as happened infamously in the town of Chibok in 2014—the incident former first lady Michelle Obama found so momentarily moving (perhaps Farrakhan asked her to “just stop”). A number of the Chibok girls (now young women) are still in captivity; so, too, is Leah Sharibu, stolen at the age of 14 from her boarding school in Dapchi in 2018 and still held as a “slave for life” for refusing to convert to Islam.

In fact, these crimes against humanity—which some in mainstream media, starting with Bill Maher, are beginning to openly label as genocide—have finally begun to destroy the “Islamophobia” garrot strangling Western freedom of speech. Left-wing CNN commentator Van Jones has said that Africa “is being overrun by Islamist terrorists,” while Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is advancing legislation to sanction Nigeria, and U.S. President Donald Trump finally went ahead and bombed ISIS “terrorist scum” responsible for “targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent [Nigerian] Christians.”

As Farrakhan did before her, Owens is covering up the mass slaughter and enslavement of Christians just to attack Jews. So, too, incidentally, are the grifters and bigots attempting to destroy the conservative movement and Republican Party—namely, podcaster Tucker Carlson and media personality Megyn Kelly, Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), alt-right conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec, stand-up comic and podcaster Theo Von, political strategist Steve Bannon and others—who sometimes or often justify their madness as merely Christian piety. But their brand of “Christian activism” only enables the mass murder and enslavement of black Christians.

In this regard, just like Farrakhan is a fake black leader, they are fake Christians. The world is beginning to see the truth they are hiding, whether they blame the Jews or not. The voice and passion of so many true Christians can be heard every day now on social media as they cry out, determined to save Christians in Africa from jihad.
