The chief of the Air Force’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Response branch has been removed from the position following his weekend arrest on sexual battery charges in Arlington, Va., according to an Air Force spokeswoman.

Lt. Col. Jeff Krusinski, 41, of Arlington had only been on the job for two months, said spokeswoman Candice Ismirle. Krusinski is accused of fondling a woman in a Crystal City parking lot shortly after midnight May 5.

“A drunken male subject approached a female victim in a parking lot and grabbed her breasts and buttocks,” the Arlington County Police Department crime report reads.

“The victim fought the suspect off as he attempted to touch her again.”

“The victim called 9-1-1 off her cell phone after she was able to break free,” said Dustin Sternbeck, spokesman for the Arlington County Police Department. “Patrol units were in the area of the crime scene and arrived shortly after.”

Krusinski, who was still in the area, was arrested at the scene and charged with sexual battery. He was held on a $5,000 unsecured bond, and was released the same day, according to the Arlington County Detention Facility.

According to Sternbeck, the victim did not know Krusinski. Sternbeck could not confirm how Krusinski sustained cuts on his face that appear in his booking photo.

Krusinski graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1994. He lettered in baseball in 1991 and in 1994, according to goairforcefalcons.com, a website owned by CBS Interactive.

He has deployed to Afghanistan, where he was assigned to the NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan CJ-7 directorate in 2011. He also led the 6th Force Support Squadron at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., according to Defense Department websites.

He might have been a good guy when he was sober, if there were no women around, if he didn't have his head up his ass.
