DEATH PENALTY: JORDAN OUTDOES TEXAS

After an 8-year moratorium on the death penalty, Jordan hangs 11 murderers

The Kingdom of Jordan instituted a moratorium on the death penalty in 2006. That moratorium has now been lifted much to the consternation of human rights groups.

Sunday at dawn, 11 Jordanians were hanged at a prison 46 miles from the capital Amman. They were mostly in their 40s and had been convicted of murder in 2005 and 2006.

Apparently, in Jordan there are no contentious challenges to the manufacture of rope like there are to the manufacture of lethal drugs in the U.S.

122 people have been sentenced to death in Jordan since the imposition of the moratorium.

Oraib Rantawi, head of Amman's Al-Quds Centre for Political Studies, says, "The authorities have been confronted in recent years with a wave of violence, criminality and murders and want to meet the challenge by opting for deterrence and the renewed application of the death penalty.”

Hussein Majali. Jordan’s Interior Minister, says, "The public believes that the rise in crime has been the result of the non-application" of the death penalty.

Holy shit, eleven men hanged in one day. And I’ve always thought we did things bigger and better in Texas.

Jordan is only one of most Islamic nations executing people like flies - it's a bloody daily public sport. Iran is on an execution frenzy with 14 people hanged in one day. Hundreds of noisy people gather like hungry pigs to cheer and watch public executions, floggings, limb amputations, stonings, etc. and young children are encouraged to watch. Is this child abuse or what?

Don't rely on the media to report all of these animalistic acts taking place under Islamic/Sharia laws. Muslims are over-sensitive - so world leaders remain silent in the slight chance it may upset the Muslims animalistic backward religious beliefs.
