NY COPS DEMORALIZED, FEEL BETRAYED, DEMONIZED AND ABANDONED

Cops blame civil rights activists for broad-brushing them as racist brutes, accuse de Blasio of throwing them under the bus, Holder of double-jeopardizing them, and Obama of abandoning them

Reports indicate that NYPD officers are completely demoralized in the wake of the Eric Garner case grand jury ruling. They are being confronted by angry demonstrators shouting anti-police slogans in their faces. They see that few people are stepping forward to support them.

The demonstrators are calling the cops pigs, a rebirth of the Black Panther and Vietnam War era slurs used against cops. They are holding up signs that read “NYPD: Blood On Your Hands,” “Racism Kills,” “Hey Officers, Choke Me Or Shoot Me,” “NYPD Keep Your Hands Off Me,” “My Skin Color Is Not A Crime,” “Police Brutality And Murder Must Stop,” “Killers And Bullies Are Behind The Badge,” “Jail Killer Cops,” and many others.

The cops blame Al Sharpton and civil rights activists for demonizing them as racist brutes. They feel betrayed by NY Mayor Bill de Blasio and accuse him of throwing them under the bus when he told a press conference that he and his wife had warned their son Dante to be fearful of white cops.

Cops everywhere believe they will be double-jeopardized by Eric Holder if they are exonerated by a grand jury or acquitted in a trial when accused of murdering minorities. And they feel abandoned and tarred-and-feathered by the President of the United States who blames the killings of blacks by cops on institutionalized racism within our police forces.

The NY cops cannot understand why at his press conference, de Blasio did not mention that they were responding to complaints by black shop owners when they tried to arrest Garner, and that it is a crime to resist arrest.

Many NY cops are now saying that they will no longer arrest blacks for committing misdemeanors.

I have to sympathize with those poor NYPD officers. They have been broadbrushed as racist brutes. They should never have been confronted with such anti-police behavior, not only by Sharpton and the demonstrators, but by their own mayor as well. The civil rights activists have sanitized Michael Brown and Eric Garner into choir boys, when in fact, Brown was a dope smoking thug and Garner had a record of 31 arrests prior to the arrest that led to his death.

NY cops have indeed been betrayed, demonized and abandoned. That’s why they are completely demoralized. And who is going to end up paying for that demoralization? It’s none other than the law abiding citizens of New York.
