According to the talking heads, who may or may not know where of they speak, there is some more information available about the death in custody of Jeffrey Epstein.
ALLEGEDLY both of the "guards" on duty in the unit that night spent much of their time sleeping. Also allegedly they documented tier checks that were in fact NOT done. Reports say that one of the "guards" was on his fifth voluntary overtime shift of the week and the second one was on an involuntary overtime shift and was perhaps not even a real "guard" but a former guard still employed in the prison in a non-custody position who was put in the unit as a "warm body" to help keep an eye on things. I admit I have a hard time believing that the BOP is so screwed up that they would put a non-custody person in a custody position except during an extreme emergency (i.e. ongoing riot) but I am not that familiar with their SOPs that I know for sure.
And of course the media reports could be a load of bovine excrement from start to finish.
